Book Overview:

This book was a delightful surprise. It is 288 pages of pure education.

Written by two health professionals, it educates yet speaks to you in laymen terms.

Julie and Rosalie have both lived with FMS since 1990. They founded the first FMS support group in Minnesota in 1991.
They have worked with the arthritis foundation and have run classes to teach fibro patients how to treat and live with FMS.

They have been educating and helping FMS sufferers for 14 years and their new book has a lot to say.

Rosalie currently works with FM patients at a clinic in Chicago.

The book gives you an overview or what can disturb your sleep, the caffeine content of beverages and foods.

It touches on medications the authors have tried and scientific information on other medications.

It breaks down the symptoms of FMS and how to treat them. They talk about diet, nutrition, how to journal
and seek support on a day to day basis.

Scattered through out the book are journal pages, showing you how to track your pain, your sleep, your medications and more to pinpoint the best treatments for you.

It is like a paint by numbers book for those who are newly diagnosed with FMS or any other chronic pain or fatigue illness. Read,
fill in the blanks and discover what you can do for yourself and when you need to ask for help.

It describes herbs, alternative therapies, diet and nutrition.

Stress management, breathing, stretching....

A one stop shop for advice by those who live with FMS. In my opinion, this is a valuable source of help, written by people
who are not only educated in treating the condition, they live with Fibromyalgia and understand the unique symptoms
and treatments this disease calls for. Author's Website
